Pet Scams!

We’ve been experiencing several reports of scam attempts especially with Pet ads. Please take caution!
Avoid 99% of the scams & fraud by dealing locally. Never wire funds or accept checks. Never give out any financial information.
Avoid deals that involve shipping or escrow services.
Remember that Love2Trade is only a venue and not involved in any transaction…

Please report any suspicious postings using the “report as spam” link or using the contact us page.

Anonymous ads are now supported!

We recently added a great new feature; anonymous ads are now supported! You no longer have to register in order to create a new ad – Not that the registration form was that long t being with :) but we do understand that many people would like to just quickly simply post a single ad. Registration errors on Love2Trade

We’ve been noticing that several people have been getting errors when attempting to register a new account on Love2Trade specially when using Opera & Safari browsers. We’ve been working hard on resolving these issues.

One of the main changes we made is using a new anti-bot service (Captcha) that is more simple & “Accessibility friendly”. We’ve also changed some of the validations that seemed to be causing some confusion. We are hoping these recent changes will fix some (and hopefully all) issues that were recently reported.

Love2Trade Integration with PayPal©

Yes finally, Love2Trade is not just a “list for others to view” only kind of service! Your existing or new account at Love2Trade can now be integrated with PayPal©!

This means you can start selling your stuff on Love2Trade and use your existing PayPal account to receive payments from almost anybody with an email address and a credit card, guaranteed by PayPal’s great policy!

As always, these new features are FREE which means we do NOT charge a commision nor a listing fee to integrate your listings with PayPal (PayPal may still charge their standard processing fee, but there is nothing really we can do about that).

As a friendly reminder, even though you can use PayPal to accept payments, you can avoid 99% of the scams & fraud by dealing locally. Trust us when we say that you should never wire funds or accept checks, nor you should ever give out any financial information to others. Avoid deals that involve shipping or escrow services.

Remember that even though Love2Trade integrates with PayPal for the convenience of both the buyer & seller, we are still only a venue and we do not get involved in any transaction.

Finally, after several weeks of working on this, we have just released a new tool that can help you import your eBay© listings to Love2Trade free of charge.

We’ve also added a section in our FAQs that can help answer questions you might have about how it works.

If you have anything listed on eBay you owe it to yourself to check this out. It’s free, it will bring more visibility to your item(s), and it takes less than a few minutes to import hundreds of your pre-existing listings with a few clicks.

Spam & Fraud warning

I’ve been noticing lately an increase in the amount of spam & fraudulent attempts with listings on Love2Trade. I just wanted to remind everybody to please practice caution when buying/trading…

If it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t!!

Again please take the time to read our quick guide that can help you identify scams.

Most scams on Love2Trade are focused around laptops, video game consoles, & cell phones/PDAs (IPhone, HTC..etc). The scammer promises to ship the item (usually from the UK) after you wire a down payment.
Not all electronics listing are fraudulent but unfortunately a lot of them are.

We do not tolerate spam or fraud so please help us by remembering to flag an ad as spam using the flagging feature in the bottom right corner of the ad details page. We do watch that very closely and pay attention to every submission (we really do try our best not to miss any). You can also contact us and let us know.

Never wire funds or accept checks. Never give out any financial information. Avoid deals that involve shipping or escrow services.

Excluding etsy from Love2Trade search engine

I’m sorry to announce that we have excluded etsy shops from Love2Trade’s search engine.
Although we’ve received mostly positive input from etsy members, there were several requests for removal of items on Love2Trade. Since there is no way for us to exclude specific etsy shops via oodle, we have decided to completely filter out etsy. Please allow time for search engines (Google, MSN, Yahoo..etc) to reflect the changes we made to the system.

Etsy provides a fantastic service to a very talented group of people and as much as we would love to help and support their talent & business, and even though request removals should be done through Oodle, we have chosen to respect the removal requests of the others and the only way was to completely exclude Etsy.
